Welcome back to another week where we highlight the Top 10 Stories Of The Week From The Kicks On Fire Instagram. This feature focuses on the top/most read stories of the week as chosen by you, our readers/supporters. The way it works is we post a picture about current sneaker news or an upcoming release on our Instagram account and many times we advise you to “click the link in our bio.” The main goal for that is so we can direct you to a certain piece of news on the site that we feel is important or breaking. It’s a quick way for us to connect you to the site in the click (or touch) of a button.

For the first time this Summer it seems like many people are excited about the upcoming Air Jordan releases. The Air Jordan 31 makes its debut this week in the Rio and USA colorways in honor of the 2016 Summer Olympics which are currently underway. In addition to the new 31, we’ll also be seeing the return of the Air Jordan 14 Indiglo for the first time and the debut of a new baseball-inspired colorway of the Air Jordan 12. If you’re not excited about what the Jumpman has to offer this week then maybe that’s because you’re aboard the adidas hype train. The Three stripes will be making some major noise this month by releasing LOTS of NMDs as well as a trio of Ultra Boosts inspired by the Olympic Medals. Let’s check out what other sneaker stories made headlines this week.

10Jordan Brand Shows Some Love To Brazil With This Air Jordan 31

While we all initially thought that the Air Jordan 31 would be making its debut in the Banned colorway, Jordan Brand decided to flip the script on us and will first give us two Olympic-inspired colorways. Even though there is no official connection to this being a Rio/Brazil colorway, the colors used and the timing of the release make it pretty obvious. The Air Jordan 31 starts off with some Olympic flavor with this and the USA colorway that releases on Saturday. Will you be picking up either pair?

9Three Ultra Boosts Inspired By The Olympic Medals

We haven’t seen many Olympic-inspired releases from adidas this Summer, but that’s all about to change next week. The three stripes will be giving us three new colorways of the popular Ultra Boost inspired by the bronze, silver, and gold medals that are given out during the Olympics. Expected to release on December 17th, which pair are you most excited about?

8Nike Continues To Give Us New Colorways Of The Kobe 11

The Kobe 11 continues to roll on with two new colorways releasing this week. First we had the GS Green Snake pair which was followed up by this Master Of Innovation pair that gets hit with a yellow, green and grey Flyknit upper. Did you grab a pair or are you waiting to pick it up down the line when it gets discounted?

7The Rock Has A Signature Shoe With Under Armour Releasing Next Year

The Rock is the biggest star in Hollywood right now. It seems like he’s always releasing and working on a new movie. When Under Armour signed him to an endorsement deal last year we knew that it was only a matter of time until they gave him his own signature shoe. Fast forward to almost a year after joining forces and The Rock is giving us an exclusive look at his first training shoe with Under Armour in the best way he knows how, through Instagram. The shoe doesn’t have an official name just yet but according to Rocky it’s supposed to release in early 2017. We’re ready Dwayne. Just Bring It!

6Adidas Will Bring Back The KB8 3 To Honor Kobe Bryant

Kobe and adidas went their separate ways quite some time ago, but that connection between the two will always be there. That’s why adidas will be retroing the KB3 3 but with a new name, the Crazy 3. The shoe still does not have a release date but it will drop in Lakers Home and Away colorways. Are you a fan of the KB8 3 silhouette?

5The Air Jordan 5 Goes For The Gold

The Air Jordan 5 will be joining in on the Olympic festivities when it releases in this Olympic/Gold Medal colorway. The shoe features a clean white leather upper with black accents and of course striking hits of metallic gold that brings the theme home. Will this be Jordan Brand’s best Olympic release this year?

4A Triple White adidas NMD XR1 Is Releasing This Month

In a couple of weeks the adidas NMD XR1 will be making its debut when it releases in a handful of different colorways. This Triple White pair will no doubt be one of the most popular judging from the triple white releases of the Ultra Boost and original NMD. Are you a fan of the new NMD XR1 or do you prefer the original?

3The Air Jordan 14 Indiglo Returns For The First Time In 17 Years

Just like the Oxidized Green pair that released last month, another OG colorway of the Air Jordan 14 will be returning this weekend. The crazy thing about this Indiglo pair is that it will be getting the retro treatment for the first time since the original release back in 1999. Some of you picking up a pair weren’t even alive the last time this shoe released. Crazy!

2Here’s A First Look At An adidas NMD That Will Release Next Year

There’s still about 5 months left in 2016, but this week we received an early look at a colorway of the adidas NMD that isn’t scheduled to release until 2017. Equipped with a black upper, this NMD is contrasted by hits of white and gold on the heel and midsole for a clean and simple look. Unfortunately this is being pegged as a women’s release but I know lots of guys will be trying to squeeze into a pair.

1Another Clean Colorway Of The Air Jordan 12

Unless Jordan Brand has some huge surprises for the rest of 2016, many people would make the argument that the Air Jordan 12 was the best JB silhouette this year. The grade school crowd will be blessed with another fresh colorway this weekend that is unofficially inspired by the minor league baseball team that MJ once played for. Should this pair have released in men’s sizes or are you OK with missing out on these?
