Welcome back to another week where we highlight the Top 10 Stories Of The Week From The Kicks On Fire Instagram. This feature focuses on the top/most read stories of the week as chosen by you, our readers/supporters. The way it works is we post a picture about current sneaker news or an upcoming release on our Instagram account and many times we advise you to “click the link in our bio.” The main goal for that is so we can direct you to a certain piece of news on the site that we feel is important or breaking. It’s a quick way for us to connect you to the site in the click (or touch) of a button.

The month of June came to an end this week which means the year is halfway over. If you live somewhere where the temperature reaches over 100 degrees like me, it’s the worst time of the year. With Summer here that means we’ll be seeing more runners release along with plenty of bright and bold colorways. Did someone say 4th of July kicks? While there was no Yeezy or NMD release this week, adidas still managed to take most of the shine as the Ultra Boost Uncaged made its debut and we also got a closer look at two upcoming OG Ultra Boosts. And how can we forget about the adidas/Kanye West deal? That was major! Let’s just hope that Kanye lives up to his word now and produces more Yeezys. In case you weren’t aware, there’s also a pretty sweet Air Jordan 12 releasing tomorrow. Let’s dive into this week’s top stories from the Gram.

10Elephant Print Lands On The Chuck Taylor

Something truly epic happened today as the first ever non-Nike sneaker was covered in the iconic elephant print. Luckily they chose such a legendary silhouette like the Chuck Taylor so it’s definitely cool to see it happen. This shoe celebrates the 23rd anniversary of Shoe Palace and it does so in style. These bad boys released today in limited quantities. Did you cop?

9This Black & Gold Nike Kobe 11 Is Impeccable

A new colorway of the Nike Kobe 11 surfaced this week and it’s beautiful. Wouldn’t it have been better is this was the colorway in the Mamba/Fade To Black Pack? To make matters worse it looks like this will be an Asia exclusive release only. Damn. I guess we can’t have it all. I’m sure those people that want a pair will find a way to get it anyway.

8Another Impressive Air Jordan 12 Releases This Weekend

The year of the Air Jordan 12 continues tomorrow with the release of the Gym Red/Alternate colorway. This is basically a reverse Cherry colorway with some hits of black, so you know that people were gonna love it. I like it a lot, but couldn’t Jordan Brand just have given us the Cherrys instead? I keep telling myself that I should pass on these, but it’s gonna take some more convincing.

7The Air More Uptemo Celebrates It’s 20th Anniversary Olympic Style

Nike will be giving the people what they want this Summer as the’ll be releasing a lots of new and old Olympic-themed sneakers. One of the best will be the Nike Air More Uptempo in the OG Olympic colorway. This has always been one of the most unique shoes of all-time and it’s cool to see such an iconic colorway return.

6Multicolor Treatment For The adidas Ultra Boost

This Ultra Boost doesn’t look anywhere near as nice as the Multicolor Flyknit Racer, but the fact that it’s more comfortable than the Racer makes up for it. It was about time adidas released a Multicolor Ultra Boost, now let’s just hope that the next one has a lot more color and less white.

5What Kicks Should Team USA Rock At The Olympics?

USA Basketball

The 2016 U.S. Olympic Men’s Basketball roster was officially announced this week and while it’s missing a lot of star power, it’s still a team that is more than capable of taking the gold in Rio. We thought of what kicks each player from the roster should wear and what they’ll probably end up wearing. Check out the full list here.

4Finally, The Debut Of The Uncaged Ultra Boost

After what felt like an eternity of leaked pictures, this week we finally saw the official debut of the adidas Ultra Boost Uncaged. The new modified silhouette released in a handful of colorways for both men and women. Did any of you cop a pair? So when will the pairs with the colored Boost release?

3A History Of KD’s Signature Sneakers Through Illustrations

With the help of storied poster artists the Ames Bros, Nike took a look back at all of Kevin Durant’s signature sneakers this week in anticipation of the KD 9 that released today in the USA colorway. The KD 9 will be the first ever KD silhouette to features the beloved Flyknit material. Does this have potential to be the best KD ever?

2Olympic Ultra Boosts Are Releasing Later This Summer

Nike won’t be the only ones releasing some impressive sneakers to celebrate the Olympics this Summer, adidas will also be joining in on the fun. The three stripes is scheduled to drop three colorways of the Ultra Boost that feature, gold, silver, and bronze detailing in honor of the medals that are given out at the Olympics. All three colorways are currently expected to release in August.

1Kanye West And adidas Announce New Partnership

Kanye and adidas announced adidas + KANYE WEST this week, a YEEZY branded sub-label for footwear, apparel and accessories that will suit all genders across street and sport. This means we’ll be seeing adidas Yeezy stores in the future that will carry Ye’s merchandise with the three stripes. So this means that everyone who wants Yeezys will be able to buy Yeezys, right???? Let’s hope so.
