As popular as you think sneakers are, that percentage of people in the country who are actually knowledgeable of them is minuscule. Ask your regular Joe what he’s wearing and I’m willing to bet that 9 times out of 10 he only know the brand of the shoe, nothing else. Jimmy Kimmel Live took advantage of this and took to the streets by pranking people in letting them think they’re getting a first-hand look at the never-before-seen adidas Yeezy Boost 2000.

The prank consisted of the Kimmel crew purchasing a pair of sneakers from Chinatown that set them back a whopping $12.50, dress it up with some fuzzy fur that give it that “luxe” look and dubĀ it the Yeezy Boost 2000. How do you think the public reacted the shoe? Click on the video to find out.
