It has not been a good year for the New York Knicks or the Los Angeles Lakers, that is putting it politely.  A set of upcoming Nike Air Flight Huarache hopes to ease the pain for fans.

It’s obvious at first glance that these new colorways are inspired by the team’s uniform colors but what some might not realize is that the Lakers pair is a little more special.  In 2003 Kobe Bryant was in a “sneaker free agency” without a sneaker deal, during that time Nike laced him up in some of the dopest player exclusives to ever touch hardwood.  This Laker’s inspired pair of Nike Air Flight Huarache is the same color scheme as a PE pair of the same sneaker he wore during that year.  While the Knicks colorway doesn’t have as rich a history, New York fans are sure to be excited for a chance to pick up this classic kick to rock with their throw back Ewing jerseys.

Which pair are you most excited about?  Look to see these hit Nike retailers soon.
