Destined to hit hte store shelves later this year, Huck Gee designed a special edition sneaker for the founder of DC shoes and World Rally Car enthusiast, Ken Black. Taking design cues from the racing world, the pack will include 4 shoes, a shirt, and a hat.
The hat is the most prominent example of the logo created by Huck Gee. The logo shows Ken’s number “43” implanted of the forehead of a “squared” skull and crossbones. The same logo appears on the tongue of the first shoe which uses a combination of black leather and patent leather for the high top design. After closer inspection, we can also seethe number “43” textured into the leather pieces around the shoe. The second shoe uses a bright palette and though the upper is black leather, splashes of lime green are added near the DC logo. The sole is white and it is decorated with black “paint drippings”. The shoes bares a close resemblance to Ken’s For Fiesta Race car
