While Tinker Hatfield sort of promised a Nike Air Mag with power laces to be revealed sometime this year, the iconic sneaker which first caught our attention in the popular film Back to the Future II, is now reinterpreted in the form of a Nike SB Dunk Low.
Utilizing the Nike Air Mag‘s distinct colorway, Wolf Grey dominates the Dunk Low’s textile and leather upper, while complementing shades of White are prominent on the fat tongue, laces, lining, heel tab and Swoosh, as well as its midsole unit which receives speckles of Turquoise. Additionally, the vibrant shade is utilized for its outsole to cap off the respective palette.
Furthermore, it’s also worth noting that the sneaker’s insoles incorporate an illustration reminiscent to the hover board that Marty McFly rode in the film.
Being that Back to the Future II was one of my favorite movies growing up and the SB Dunk as one of my preferred choices of sneakers, I’m just too biased on these. I know it’s better to have the Nike Air Mag itself, but these are a pretty nice alternative in my opinion. These are probably one of the better looking (new) SBs to have released in quite a while.
