Diadora recently introduced a collection of footwear for the summer season that goes by the name “From Seoul to Rio”. This line of sneakers is made in conjunction with 7 of the top sneaker boutiques from around the world. We briefly went over all 7 pairs not too long ago, but today we get a detailed look at the hanon x Diadora I.C. 4000 Yellow Eyes.
Scotland’s hanon teams up with Diadora on the I.C. 4000. Wih a nickname like Yellow Eyes, you’re probably wondering what the inspiration behind the shoe is, right? For those that don’t know, “Yellow Eyes” is a reference to the effect of an athlete on performance enhancing drugs, also known as steroids. Usually, when an athlete has yellow eyes, more often than not, they’re on steroids. This theme came to fruition because of the Seoul Olympics from 1988 where the Ben Johnson steroid scandal occurred. Johnson won the 100m Gold medal, but they soon took it away from him after finding out that we was juicing. The shoe itself comes in a color scheme consisting of Yellow, Turquoise and White. The premium suede and mesh giving the shoe a nice premium look we’re used to seeing on diadora. The Yellow Eyes theme on the shoe is noted on the inner lining where you will find an eye graphic. You will also find the eye graphic and hanon’s flame logo on the tongues and heels. Said to be releasing August 6th exclusively at hanon, will you be trying to pick up a pair?
Very well thought out theme. Colorway is great for the Summer. It’s definitely a good looking shoe.
