Gundam (Japanese anime) and Reebok linked up last year and did their thing on the Reebok Insta Pump Fury. It looks like they enjoyed working together because they’re teaming up once more, but this time they’re going to be focusing on celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Reebok Ventilator. Teaming up and creating two different colorways of the Ventilator, let’s take a closer look at what this latest collaboration between the two is all about.
The Reebok Ventilator collaboration will reference two classic robot suits in the RX-78-2 and MS-06S and incorporate their look on to the shoes. The first pair will see a a reflective two-toned leather featuring 3M material mimicking the look of the robots. The second pair also has the metallic look, but opts to go with a red hue to reference the “Red Comet” (MS-06S). We’re still unsure as to when these will release, but being that the celebrate 25 years of the Ventilator, there’s a good chance that they will drop before the ball drops. How many of you are fans of Gundam? Are you looking to pick up a pair once these drop? Let us know in the comments below which pair you’re feeling the most.
I remember in college a lot of people I knew were into Gundam. It was never really my thing, but it’s pretty cool to see the theme of the robots being placed on to the shoes. Very dope for people who are/were a fan of the Japanese anime.
