Who reading this had a Sega Dreamcast or a Sega Saturn? Who was old enough to own a Sega Genesis?! A lot of you reading this are probably thinking to yourself, what is this guy talking about?! But hopefully some of you who are old enough know exactly what I’m saying. A while back there used to be Sega video game console. It wasn’t always just Nintendo, Play Station and X-Box. Sega had a good run with some pretty dope video games, but like many companies, they eventually stopped making product. Nonetheless, they provided millions of kids all around the world countless hours of entertainment!
If you were one of those people, you may be interested in reliving your childhood memories by getting yourself a pair of these slip-ons that pay tribute to those classic Sega systems! These sneakers are a collaboration between Sega and the Japanese company that goes by the name of Anippon. The slip-ons pay tribute to the classic Sega systems the Sega Dreamcast, the Sega Saturn, and the Sega Genesis (Mega Drive, as it was known in Japan). One thing worth mentioning is the creative work in the box that the shoes come in. The shoe box actually look like the systems the shoe pays tribute to! Set to retail for $62, you will be able to get these at this year’s Tokyo Game Show.
Simply for the nostalgia, I wouldn’t mind getting me a pair of the Sega Genesis. To this day I still think the Sega Genesis system is one of the best systems ever made!
