In celebration of the 2016 Summer Olympics which is set to held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (August 5 – 21), the classic Ewing Eclipse Olympics that Patrick Ewing originally wore during the 1992 Summer Games in Barcelona, Spain, will be making a return once again.

Defined by its USA-themed colorway, the basketball sneaker is treated with an all-white upper, while accents of red and blue are scattered throughout its entirety to cap off the patriotic flair.

Notable details include the Ewing’s #6 instead of his customary #33, as well as distinctive branding on the tongue and heel.

Author’s Take

I’m just biased towards the Olympics-inspired line and I like this model a lot. Since I was too young when this debuted, I’m looking forward to actually acquiring a pair.
