Last week, adidas Originals introduced a game-changer in the sneaker world with the Photo Print app for their runaway hit the ZX Flux. Through the app, people will be able to take photos of just about anything and upload them to mi adidas and literally print that picture on the upper of your ZX Flux. Not to sound like that “it changes everything” guy from that commercial but…
In this day and age when customization is king and sneakerheads are always looking to one up each other in the exclusivity department, adidas Originals is basically giving us a blank canvas to work on and the only limitation is our own
originality imagination. They already gave us a precedent with the highly popular “Photo Print” pack that won over many sneakerheads and now we can recreate that magic through our phones. And considering the attention this got in the general public especially from the tech sector, this new way of customization is just one way adidas is grabbing mind share from a new audience that otherwise would not have cared about the ZX Flux.
With the app not set to drop until this August, this gives us plenty of time to come up with the perfect picture that we would want to immortalize on a pair of kicks. Just about anything is in play, but that doesn’t mean you should go ahead and slap just about anything on there. Besides the common sense things that you should not put on a sneaker, there are also some unspoken rules that we need to go over because seriously, for as much potential for greatness adidas Originals has given us there is also great potential for you to screw this up.
