Last night Converse celebrated the launch of the CONS Project: Los Angeles with a special event that gave the audience a taste of the creativity that people can expect to see from the initiative. The project is a unique undertaking by Converse that will give a number of Los Angeles kids and young adults the chance to interact with icons that represent the CONS lifestyle, whether it be in music, skateboarding and many others.  The guests will be able to pick the brains of those who came before and use the lessons that they learned and apply it to their own experience.

Featuring several installations meant to simulate the type of workshops that the kids will have access to, the event had a booth where people could get their DJ Hero on (thankfully no one could hear it but them through their BEATS headphones), a vinyl-cutting station where guests could pick up a record of their choosing and a place you could get your own customized Converse x Burger Records t-shirt.  Converse also showed off their Spring 2014 Collection, which dropped at retail last weekend.  Oh, and boxed water.  You had to be there to get why that was a thing, really…

Anyways, the workshops will begin today and go throughout the weekend on 828 South Main Street in Los Angeles.  The following weekend, there will be a special exhibition at the same spot that will showcase the work that was created during those workshops.  For more info on the project, click here.
