The latest collection of Converse Chuck Taylor All Star sneakers pays homage to none other than the 40th anniversary of Punk music. Looking to celebrate the 40 years of Punk, Converse dresses the Chuck Taylor All Star by taking cues from the underground scene of the 1970’s.

Being that the Chuck Taylor was a favorite for people in the Punk scene back in the ’70s, it made perfect sense to use the model as the canvas of the celebrations. If you take a look at the images above you will see that the shoe is given a makeover by adding features such as mohair fabric, creeper-type foxing, metal studs which are all common features of the Punk scene 4 decades ago. Set to drop tomorrow, the prices of the shoes will start at $120. Hot or not? Let us know in the comments below.

Author’s Take

The theme is spot on. People who are fans of Punk probably will like the look of the shoe, but being that Punk believed in rejecting mainstream, I’m a bit confused as in whether or not they will want to pick up a pair.
