An ongoing collaboration, the Concepts x New Balance 998 Grand Tourer consists as the latest and final project between both brands to close out a strong and successful 2015.

With an emphasis on celebrating the Boston-based retailer’s collective journey with New Balance since its inception in 1996, the model’s makeup also takes cues from automobile endurance racing, as it was built for speed and distance travel. Comprised of premium pig suede, Off-White is utilized for the model’s vamp section and toe cap, while perforated panels in light olive are seen on the toe box and collar section.

Other complementing hits include the tongue and heel tab dipped in red, while a grey suede heel counter provides additional reinforcement. Finishing touches consists of carbon fiber adorning the rear, a clean White Abzorb midsole unit accentuated with blue and a black/sand outsole.

You can find this limited edition pair at the brand’s Cambridge and New York flagship locations, as well as online, starting tomorrow, December 26 for $215.

I’m always a fan of their collaborations and this is another strong offering. I’m just biased towards the silhouette in general, plus this colorway is really appealing. So many good offerings to close out the year.
