Concepts is gearing up for what may be one of their biggest collaboration projects this year. Working alongside Italian sportswear company Diadora, the Boston-based retailer has taken the N9000 silhouette and worked with Diadora to give it some authentic Italian flavor. Nicknamed the “Lira”, which was a monetary unit in Italy before the euro came along, this N9000 takes on the appearance of the actual currency. The shoe is made to look like the 500,000 note and features special insoles that use imagery from the actual bill as well as other details like an iridescent Concepts logo on the tongue. The Concepts x Diadora N9000 “Lira” is set to release on October 3rd at Concepts as well as online.
