The adidas Tubular Basketball Primeknit is the newest basketball shoe coming out of adidas. First thing you notice on the silhouette (and name) is the obvious inspiration drawn from the adidas Original Tubular. Let’s take a closer look.
The first look shows that the adidas Tubular Basketball Primeknit is a lifestyle model that combines some of the best parts from adidas’ most popular silhouettes. The sole is clearly derived from the adidas Originals Tubular, while the upper construction uses one of adidas most loved materials, the Primeknit construction. The Primeknit upper uses a sock-like feature which also comes with a leather Forum strap system to give you additional support throughout the ankle and heel, because after all, they are basketball shoes. Below you will see the well known and loved Tubular sole which also happens to utilize ridges that closely resemble the adidas Yeezy Boost. No release date yet, but preliminary talks suggest that these are expected to drop sometime between the end of 2015 and early 2016. It looks good. Taking the best features from your most successful silhouettes was definitely a good look this time around for adidas. Primeknit looks awesome, and I’m sure everyone will dig the Yeezy Boost resemblance found in the midsole.
