I’ma just go ahead and say it, I’m naming the Nike Flyknit Roshe Run you see above, the Calypso 2.0. With the popularity that the OG Calypso received it kind of makes you wonder why it took this long before a similar colorway was released. Let’s take a better look at this updated version of the Calypso colorway.
The Nike Flyknit Roshe Run will come with a Pure Platinum Flyknit construction on the toebox and tongue of the shoe. The side panels are done up in a VT-style construction that also features a molded Swoosh. Underneath you will find a NM midsole that comes in the ever-so-popular Calypso colorway. The only thing that stops this from being a true Calypso 2.0 is the fact that the Swoosh comes in a tonal offering instead of black. Set to release in the near future for $130, let us know if you plan on getting a pair.
True Calypso or not, it’s a really nice colorway that nice blends the Flyknit construction with VT-style construction on the side panels. I really like this colorway. I’ve yet to own a Flyknit Roshe, that looks like it’s about to change once these come out.
