Brush Footwear Project for Haiti
Brush Footwear Project for Haiti

The Max Talbot Foundation and the Pittsburgh Kids Foundation have come together with Brush Footwear for a truly unique project to help those in Haiti that are still in need. Ben Smith, the artist behind Brush Footwear,  has donated 1,500 pairs of canvas shoes to be customized by the children from the foundations, before they are sent to Haiti. According to Ben, “He wanted to do this so that it would promote art for the children in a new way and also have the children send their art to help benefit the suffering people of Haiti.” In addition to the work by the children, some of the Pittsburgh Penguins painted on shoes which were auctioned off; all proceeds going to help build an additional orphanage in Haiti.
