Vans Vault is getting ready to release a sneaker that takes part in a three-way collaboration. Vans teams up with SoCal boutique, Blends and Born Free, an annual Orange County custom motorcycle show. Releasing next week, let’s get a closer look at the Blends x Born Free x Vans Vault OG Old Skool LX.

The Old Skool LX is said to be inspired by the California’s rich motoring history. A Black  suede and canvas construction take care of the upper. Breaking up the tonal look is the Red, White and Blue Jazz stripe that goes around the shoe. Additional details include the waxed flat tonal laces and the White vulcanized sole unit. The translucent outsole exposes a checkerboard pattern to give the shoe a vintage look. The Blends x Born Free x Vans Vault OG Old Skool LX will be available online at Blends on June 27. Is this a cop or drop?

Author’s Take

A Vans Old Skool has to be really nice for it to get my attention. I’m from California, but it’s not enough to make me want a pair.
