So far during Jordan Brand‘s 30th anniversary, a slew of both old and new silhouettes have commemorated the momentous year, and another forthcoming model is seen with this Air Jordan 9 “Militia Green.”
As a recap from our initial coverage, this particular makeup of the Air Jordan 9 is a homage to the iconic Michael Jordan statue situated at the entrance of United Center in Chicago – the home to both the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League. The statue’s Bronzine/Militia Green aesthetic is visibly prominent on the Air Jordan 9’s eyelets, lining, midsole and rear portion, while the sneaker’s overall build is comprised of premium White leather.
Further pronounced with Black hits adorning the heel, pull tabs, laces, tongue and Jordan Branding on the sole unit – the Air Jordan 9 “Militia Green” is reportedly scheduled to arrive at Jordan Brand accounts starting August 1st for $190.
Cool Grey and Olive are my favorite iterations of the Air Jordan 9. I’m a fan of the silhouette’s design and aside from this nice, simple colorway, its backstory makes it more respectable.
