Initial talks were based on the common vision of developing a footwear collaboration that will roll out in several different waves over the next few years. By transcending current trends, New Balance and Stone Island will together bring their shared values to life in new and creative ways. Each brand has strong family roots and a robust heritage, and will open their respective doors to deeper research and experimentation with the aim of collaborating on exciting product innovations. The Stone Island x New Balance RC Elite comes dressed in a clean White and Red colorway. The best part of the sneaker is without a doubt the rip across the breathable 3D knit upper, revealing a pair of red logos beneath. The left foot houses the Stone Island compass logo, while the right foot dons the New Balance graphic. Alternate branding is spotted onto the tongue, with the left foot tagged by “Stone Island Product Research” and the right foot featuring New Balance’s Tokyo Design Studio branding. A carbon fiber plate embedded in the FuelCell midsole for energy return keeps its performance elements.
