Emory Maughan was chosen to design a Nike Air Max 90 PRM Doernbecher for the 2015 Doernbecher Freestyle Colleciton. Diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney failure, Emory hopes to one day have a kidney that will work. She finds hope and inspiration in her family – particularly her father who has also dealt with kidney problems – and her love of reading, allowing her mind to open up to a world of possibilities, which include a Sasquatch riding a unicorn. That amazing image can be found on the shoe’s tongue along with the word “Impossible” with an apostrophe placed between the I and M so that it says “I’m possible”.
