The Curry 1 FloTro “Draft Day” colorway is a celebration of June 25, 2009 — the day that Stephen was drafted seventh overall by the Golden State Warriors. Many doubters had their fair share of commentary on what an underrated kid from Davidson College had to offer in the NBA, but with hard work, faith, and perseverance, Stephen proved all the naysayers wrong. This first-of-its-kind release pulls its design inspiration directly from the suit Stephen was rocking on draft night. Similar to the suit and accompanying pocket handkerchief, the upper design sports a still-water/pink sugar color palette finished off with the lightning bolt accent from the Warriors logo at the time. The sneaker is completed with polka dot detail on the lavender gradient midsole to match the tie that completed the look.
