While it’s pretty evident that Michael Jordan’s ownership of Charlotte’s NBA franchise reflects a few of the upcoming releases from Jordan Brand this year, another notable pair slated to debut soon consists of this Air Jordan 5 in Midnight Navy.
Slightly reminiscent of the “Charlotte Hornets” color scheme, which was also evident on the recent Air Jordan 13 Low “Hornets,” this variation of the Air Jordan 5 boasts a predominantly Midnight Navy upper that is juxtaposed with Grey details found on the distinct netting across its vamp and tongue, alongside bright pops of Turquoise gracing the front and rear of the tongue tab, as well as on the midsole unit.
Resting atop an icy translucent outsole with a visible Air bubble component in the heel, be on the lookout for this Air Jordan 5 “Midnight Navy” to arrive at Jordan Brand accounts starting May 2nd for $190.
I’ve never been that interested on the Air Jordan 5 silhouette, aside from the original Fire Red and Grape colorway. This new Hornets-inspired finish is cool nonetheless but I don’t think it’ll garner much attention. Eh that’s just me.
