Rocket Boy Nift tests his skills on arguably the most coveted silhouette from the Air Jordan signature line. What Rocket Boy Nift ends up doing is something we’re not really used to seeing a whole lot of in the custom world. Rocket Boy Nift manages to customize an Air Jordan 11 be giving it a sole that actually changes color depending on the temperature.

Rocket Boy Nift started off by using the Jordan 11 “Legend Blue” as the base shoe. He swaps the Legend Blue hits seen on the tongue tag as as well as in the Jumpman in favor of what he is calling a “Vanna” green colorway. After doing that, he wanted the sole unit to somehow match with the new colored hits you see up top. So what he ends up doing is mold his own outsole that actually changes color in different temperatures, going from “Vanna” green in cooler temps to clear in the hotter temperatures.¬†What do you guys think? Is this dope or nah?

¬†Author’s Take

Not sure it can be done, but what would be even more dope is to make an outsole that can shift into more than one other color. Imagine changing it to red, blue, green, blacl, all in the same shoe? Now that’s be dope. Regardless, this is pretty cool too!
