In 1988 Jordan Brand released a sneaker designed by Tinker Hatfield, for Michael Jordan, that would go on to be arguably the best Air Jordan in its famed history. That year four Air Jordan 3‘s released, all to become very sought after from then till even now. One of those four is set to retro very soon. Earlier this year we heard the Air Jordan III “Fire Red” was re-relasing for the first time since 2007. All that was seen was a spreadsheet of 2013 releases, now we get a chance to see the upcoming Fire Reds up close and personal. As of right now all we have are photos of the GS version. But with the August 3rd release date approaching hopefully the regular version will surface soon.
The shoe construction of the Air Jordan III “Fire Red” is one of the best all time. The upper is a brushed white leather with the laces looping through fire red eyelets. This sits above a grey perforated layer also housing lace loops. Around the toe box and heel is smooth black suede with impressed elephant print. The midsole is composed of fire red with a white and grey sole. And of course there’s the visible Air Max unit, which was the first of its kind on an Air Jordan sneaker. Look for more information about these and the men’s version to become available as the 8/3 release date nears.
