There’s not many signature shoes that have as much history as the Air Jordan line. As is known by all the sneaker were worn by the one and only Michael Jeffrey Jordan. Many basketball milestones have come into play on several models. But this time around Jordan pays homage to Mike’s time on the diamond rather than the court. For those who know, it was devastating to many when MJ left the game the first time. He’d dive headfirst into the dugout with the minor league Birmingham Barons where he’d wear the #45. The soon to come Air Jordan 9 “Birmingham Barons” pays tribute to his time there.
Pictured here is the GS version. These Air Jordan 9s feature some difference than your run of the mill 9s. The lining feature pinstripes as present on Jordan’s Barons jersey. Rather than the customary #23 on the heel his secondary #45 is present. White colors the majority of the upper with silver sprawling up the back around to the toe. Stick with KOF for info and check out the older Air Jordan 1 Mid “Opening Day”. These also were modeled after Jordan’s baseball days.
