Last year we saw the 30th anniversary of Jordan Brand as well as the Air Jordan 1. In honor of 30 years of greatness we saw Jordan Brand release a “Pinnacle” collection of Air Jordan 1s that all used premium materials with fancy packaging and even a few touches of gold.
For 2016 it seems like Jordan Brand will be doing the same thing with the Air Jordan 4, even though the silhouette isn’t celebrating a significant milestone. One of these first premium versions of the Air Jordan 4 that we’ve already seen early looks at is this all-black colorway that features faux pony hair across its tongue and vamp section along with some premium textured leather throughout the rest of the upper. The entire shoe has been blacked out with the exception of part of the midsole and the outsole which have both been done in white.
At the moment there is no release date for this premium Air Jordan 4 but make sure to stay tuned and visit our Air Jordan 4 Pinnacle Black release page for any updates.

I would have preferred to see some contrast on the upper instead of just all-black. While the Air Jordan 4 is probably my favorite Air Jordan silhouette of all-time, it’s hard to justify spending $400 on a pair, especially one as bland as this one.
