In celebration of the 2016 Summer Olympics which is currently being held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the newly-introduced Air Jordan 31 is rendered in a new colorway that essentially pays homage to the host nation.

Treated in the country’s traditional Rio colors, vibrant green and blue is essentially prominent across its flyweave and synthetic leather upper, while it’s nicely offset by a crisp white midsole unit and icy translucent outsole. Other notable details include enlarged Jumpman branding on the heel, alongside more branding on the tongue and bottom

Retailing for a price tag of $185, the Nike SNKRS app has this pair listed for availability starting on August 12th.

Author’s Take

I’m not really against the shoe’s design. I’m a fan of the simple makeup but the large Jumpman bothers me a little bit. This is a nice commemorative colorway though.
