Imagine a sneaker world in which retros donned old skool Nike Air logos while new colorways in the classic silhouettes took to the Jumpman logo to help distinguish them. Well that’s kind of happening this year to some extent, as we recently learned that Jordan Brand will be releasing the Air Jordan 3 Retro ’88 – White / Cement, which is highlighted by the old skool branding on the heel.
Meanwhile, other versions of the Air Jordan 3, including the “Bright Crimson” and “Joker” will also be hitting accounts in 2013, but with the same Jumpman logo that we’ve become accustomed to. Now we’re learning that the price for that Nike Air logo is a whopping $40 dollars, which is the amount increase from the 2011 versions of the Air Jordan 3 retros, putting the retail price of these at $200. What are your thoughts on JB’s decision to raise the price? Will that have any effect on your attempt to buy the shoe?
