Release Date: February 6, 2015
The Air Jordan 1 KO is essentially an altered version of the iconic Air Jordan 1. The major differences come in the form of a slightly altered sole unit (borrowed from Nike Vandal) as well as the change in material used on the upper. The Air Jordan 1 was originally done in a leather upper, while the Air Jordan 1 KO is constructed out of a canvas upper. Inspired by one of the OG colorways of the Air Jordan 1, the Air Jordan 1 KO will come in a Shadow colorway this time around.
As mentioned above, the Air Jordan 1 KO Shadow will come in a canvas upper done up in a predominantly black colorway. Grey is placed on the ankle collar (leather), while the Nike Swoosh and toebox come in grey canvas. Offsetting the two-toned upper is the white midsole paired up with the black outsole. Grey Nike branding appears on the black nylon tongue, while the Wings logo in the ankle says “AJKO”. Rounding out the look of the shoe is the black laces that tie up the entire look together.
If you’re not a fan of the canvas upper, be on the lookout for the Air Jordan 1 Low OG Chicago which is slated to drop on February 14th.

Juan Carrillo (News): I’ve never been too fond of the canvas construction on the Air Jordan 1 KO. It seems a bit weird to me. Although I’m a fan of the clean colorway, it’s a pass for me simply because canvas is a no-no in my book.
