The Original Rod Laver [tennis] shoe was white and green with mesh side panels , and had a leather tongue and toe piece. The second version was an instant hit with consumers and featured the same characteristics as the first.
The smooth sides and minimal visual branding were significant to its reissue in the late 1990’s. Adidas collaborated with the London store Oki-Ni to produce the Rode Laver NPF, available in five special colourways.
