Who said High Tops were ugly? This sleek basketball shoe was released in both hig hand low-top versions. The high top contained Adidas’s patented crisscross one-piece ankle- bracing system, which helped to provide great stability and support on the ankle, both internally and externally. The outsole is wide and contains serrated edges which provides for extra traction and serves useful in shock absorbency. The Decade’s appearance resembles other Adidas basketball shoes of that era. Adidas stopped producing the Decade in 1986, but it was reissued in 2003 with brand new colourways, and a slightly different look. For example, the outsole no longer contained the multi- disk design, an incentive that the shoe has been embraced by a new generation.
