Adidas APS

Adidas APSAPS (Antipronation and Shock Absorption System) was a key feature on this model, and is visible through a window located under the heel of the shoe.  This system allows someone to change the shock absorption in the midsole according to their weight and ground conditions.  The cassette used in the outsole contains PU rods suspended from a TPU shaft.  Turning the key clockwise brings the rods together, making the midsole harder, and vice versa.  The set absorption rate can be checked through the window in the heel.
