This past weekend, soccer lifestyle blog, Kicks to the Pitch and global creative network, Monorex, alongside Major League Soccer and others, presented COPA BASEL A CELEBRATION OF ART AND THE BEAUTIFUL GAME, a Fan Zone that unites art and soccer fans alike, which was a first event of its kind during Miami Art Basel.
In addition to this dedicated indoor space, footwear artisan, Red Ribbon Recon, had joined forces with Kicks to the Pitch for a customized adidas Yeezy 350 Boost “Pirate Black.” The silhouette’s upper aesthetics is kept intact, while essentially modified with cleats from the label’s Ace 15.1, which resulted in a pretty sleek and stylish rendition of the popular sneaker.
Furthermore, the event featured retired USMNT and MLS player, Eddie Johnson, retired Canadian National Team player and MLS great, Dwayne De Rosario, past host on KICKTV, DJ for US Soccer and female tastemaker Florencia Galarza as well as a mixture of creatives, brands, artists and locals in the soccer and art communities.
Also, with the Black 750 expected to arrive very soon, would you consider purchasing it in cleat form as well? Find out all the info you need on the adidas Yeezy 750 Boost Black directly from our hub page.
If these were mass produced, I would definitely purchase it and make a sole swap (haha). A pretty nice variation of the model, but I prefer it with the boost sole unit.
