For basketball enthusiasts the NBA All-Star game is a chance to get all the greatest players in the game all on one court. For sneaker enthusiasts it’s a chance to see some of the hottest sneakers in the game all on one court. Back in 2004, during a vastly different time in sneakers, the kicks were modeled to more or less match the team jersey. A young Tracy McGrady was at the apex of his game, and voted starting small forward for the East squad. He hit the court in his Adidas TMAC 3 which had garnered huge support from TMAC faithfuls. When he hit the court he would don two solid color shoe. One red, one blue. The rest is history. TMAC would go on to dazzle the crowd getting buckets and dropping dimes. (view below).
10 years later Adidas and New Jersey sneaker shop Packer Shoes are bringing the adidas TMAC 3 “2004 All-Star Game” PE back! And in the same way that McGrady rocked them. One red, one blue. They’re set to drop this weekend March 1st for $130. The shoes are an in-store release only. And T-MAC himself will be in attendance to help with the launch.
