Want to win $1 million dollars from adidas Football? All you have to do is be a pro prospect that can break the 40-yard dash record, that’s all.

adidas Football recently announced this contest that is open to any eligible pro prospect who is able to run football’s professionally recognized 40-yard dash time in the 2016 adizero 5-Star 40 cleats later on this month. More info and detail about the even can be found here.

It is being said that more than 300 athletes will attempt to break the record which currently stands at 4.24 seconds, which was set 8 years ago. Back in 2013, adidas offered an adidas endorsement deal. In 2014 they gave away $100,000 to the fastest time, and in 2015 they gave away $100,000 to the top three fastest times. This year they upped to ante to $1,000,000 to any pro prospect who is able to break the current record.

The 2016 version of the adizero 5-Star 40 cleats is lightweight and aerodynamic while also coming with photo-realistic, high-definition, 3-D fire graphics. Said to be created specifically for the 40-yard dash, the cleats weighs only 4.9 ounces, making it the lightest cleat in the game. The cleat is made out of an ultra-lightweight, yet extremely strong fiber, the SPRINTSKIN Ultra upper is engineered to provide reinforcement only in key support zones for elite performance. The upper will be sitting on a SPRINTFRAME football plate in order to provide players with acceleration for the 40-yard dash.
