adidas Adizero Afterburner 8 Cleat Hispanic Heritage

Designed by Latinx designers Harold Arandia Jr (Bolivian American, Los Angeles-born designer & artist, and current Senior Designer for adidas Baseball) and Julio Aleman (adidas’ Apparel Technical Designer for almost a decade working across a multitude of the brand’s categories), this special-edition baseball cleat is inspired by their shared hispanic heritage and love for baseball. This adidas Adizero Afterburner 8 Cleat pays respect to the heritage of Latin Americans both on and off the field. The goal of both designers was to capture the diversity of Latin American & Hispanic culture in a cleat featuring a custom tapestry background and hand-painted flowers that represent Latin American countries. The Wonder White base contrasted by the bold graphics on the 3-Stripes and outsole does just that. One quick glance at the cleat, and you’ll find tons of intricate details and Easter eggs throughout.
