The Air Jordan 7 (VII) Original (OG) – Hare Jordan (White / Light Silver – True Red) were released in February, 1991, retailing for $125. They were nicknamed the “Hare Jordans” because of the commercial, which featured cartoon character Bugs Bunny. After being bullied by some jocks on the B-ball court, Bugs strapped on what he called his “Hare Jordans”, and teamed up with “Air Jordan” to skool the four jocks. They feature a white leather upper with what is labeled as “light silver” inserts, along with red trim. The design of the shoe is similar to that of the Nike Air Huarache, with openings around the ankle area, and an inner sock / shoe design which was created to really stick / contour to your foot. They also feature a colorful tongue design.
