The Air Jordan 18 (XVIII) Original (OG) – Black / Royal Blue were released on February 8, 2003, and retailed for $175. They feature a black suede leather upper, along with a royal blue sole. The shoe was designed by Tate Kuerbis, and is modeled after the sleek lines of the Lamborghini Murcielago, carbon fiber-based monocoque of F1 race cars, Race car driving shoes (rubber heel wrap) and Fine Italian dress shoes (bold stitching on the soles). Other features include a hidden quick lace system, carbon comfort plate, air vents, steel capped laces, full length Zoom Air insoles, as well as a second unit at the heel. They are great for basketball as they are highly comfortable and provide great traction. They also came with a leather suede brush for cleaning, and came in a custom, drawer- type box, which slid open and close.
