For the next round of Chicks in Kicks, we tap the beauty and “sneakerheadness” of the lovely Kimmy Kamish. From Fashion Week to International pageants, Kimmy is one of the few models that has a deep appreciation for the sneaker game. For her latest calendar, Kimmy dons some of the most exclusive kicks on the planet and displays them in a way that not only makes your mouth water for her, but for the shoes as well. I recently had a chance to sit down with Kimmy and get the low down on her 2012 Kimmy’s Kicks Calendar, as well as her Top 10 sneakers.

Chicks in Kicks – Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement” x Liliya Patarinski

The Air Jordan 11 “Concord” is definitely the highlight of Jordan Brand’s end of the year releases, but another classic colorway is also scheduled to release as part of JB’s fourth quarter offerings. The Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement” is making a comeback! Its time away from retailers was short lived, at least in comparison to the Jordan 11 “Concord”, as it made an appearance back in 2008 as part of the Air Jordan Countdown Pack.

We recently came together with model Liliya Patarinski, who is seen here rocking the classic Air Jordan. The shoe’s black tumbled leather construction is contrasted with cement grey touches, including the infamous elephant print that we have all come to know and love. Hints of red are also applied, while a white midsole incorporates an air unit into the design at the heel. Look for them to officially release to Jordan Brand accounts on November 25, 2011 and retail for $160.

Chicks in Kicks – Jordan 11 Concords x Indee Jones

With the release of the highly anticipated Air Jordan 11 Retro “Concord” a little more than two months away, new photos of the shoe are constantly surfacing. We decided to capture some flicks of them ourselves, but with a bit of a twist that we think you guys will enjoy.

Our “Chicks in Kicks” feature rolls on as we recently teamed up with a young, aspiring model named Indee Jones. Originally from Alabama, she’s currently studying Textile Development and Marketing Trade at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan, New York, but likes to try her hand at modeling as well. We paired her up with the Air Jordan 11 Retro “Concords”, and you can check out the photos below. Whether you’re into the chick or into the kicks, there’s definitely something here for you to relish.

Today’s version of Chicks in Kicks features Sports model and Celebrity Fitness Trainer Lauren Pappas. We recently hooked up with her to show off the recently released Air Jordan 5 (V) – White / Varsity Red – Obsidian. The shoes feature a gleaming white patent leather upper, which is met by a midnight navy outsole and hints of Varsity Red throughout, including the inside of the tongue, lace lock, and shark teeth pattern on the sole. Chicks in Kicks – Rhiannon Helen x KicksOnFire (Part 2)

A few days ago we featured model Rhiannon Helen modeling with the Air Jordan 5 (V) – Light Graphite / White – Wolf Grey and Air Jordan 5 (V) – White / Varsity Red – Obsidian. Well she’s back again, this time showing off the recently released Air Jordan 11 Low IE – Black / Varsity Red – White.

Instead of utilizing patent leather like the typical Air Jordan 11, this low-top version of the classic shoe puts black leather to use, while matching black cement print makes its way onto the shoe in several places. Contrasting the dark hue are red and white accents, which in the end create a classic color scheme. Enjoy the photos ahead.

Our Chicks in Kicks features continue, as here we feature some photos of model Rhiannon Helen, who collaborated with us to show off two recently released silhouettes from Jordan Brand. Shown here are the Air Jordan 5 (V) – Light Graphite / White – Wolf Grey and Air Jordan 5 (V) – White / Varsity Red – Obsidian.

Set in a wolf grey upper, the “Wolf Grey” version also features contrasting white stitching and branding. Plastic inserts in the side panels compliment the grey and white mixture, while a translucent outsole finishes off the design. The latter design boasts a gleaming white patent leather upper, which is met by a midnight navy outsole and hints of varsity red throughout. Chicks in Kicks – Haydee Villacis x KicksOnFire

Recently, we were lucky enough to collaborate with model Haydee Villacis, who participated in our photo shoot to create this latest version of Chicks in Kicks. We paired her up with a few different popular shoes, including the recently released Air Jordan 3 ” True Blue”, and very exclusive and limited Nike LeBron 8 ” South Beach”.

In case you forgot, the Air Jordan 3 “True Blue” surfaced back in 2009, and kept fanatics frozen in anticipation over the release. When Air Jordan sneakerheads here in the states found out that it was an overseas release only, they became enraged. Fortunately, Jordan Brand was nice enough to release them to stateside accounts this year.

The Nike LeBron 8 “South Beach” was created in limited numbers, and features a flashy colorway that has come to be associated with South Beach. The shoes are still in high demand, and are even going for $1,000 on eBay.

[Celeb Kicks] Khloe Kardashian in Christian Louboutin

Last week Khloe Kardashian was seen galavanting the streets of Los Angeles in these luxury studded sneakers. Designed by Christian Louboutin, the Louis Women’s Flats were released as part of the Louboutin Winter Collection, retailing for a little under $2400 a pair. Using Black suede all over the upper, the midsole and toebox are covered in rhinestone studs, laced together with Black waxed laces. Available now at Nordstrom as well as select other Louboutin retailers worldwide.

Jourdan Dunn was recently photographed by Robin Derrick for one of the most coveted fashion magazines of all time, Vogue. The first Black model to walk a Prada runway in over a decade, Dunn has made a name for herself with over ten covers in the past five years, as well as being the face of Yves Saint Laurent’s La Nuit de l’Homme fragrance. This particular shoot was just as cutting edge as Jourdan herself, styled mostly with sneakers, an aesthetic rarely used by Vogue. Pictured in a selection of Nike Trainers as well as a pair of vintage Converse All Stars, Dunn shows off her athletic side in more than five pages of the mag. SoleDeVida grew up around a family of sneaker heads, and particularly looked up to her female cousin. This cousin owned a pair of 1995 OG Red/Blk 11s, and SoleDeVida fell in love with the kicks at first sight. She was 14 by the time she got to own her very first pair of Jordans, the 1998 OG Red/Blk 14s. With hundreds of kicks nowadays, she and her sneakerhead husband are addicted to the lifestyle. It has even infected SoleDeVida’s career moves, as she is currently a female sneaker reviewer on youtube that fits in with the guys.

On the heels of a recent shoot I did for Girls Got Kicks, I figured that it was time I did one of these joints about myself. Having little to no experience writing an autobiographical editorial, bear with me. My sneaker back story begins back in the late eighties, when I began to take less interest in the pink and clear jelly’s and more interest in laced up treasures. My parent’s often referred to me as Punky Brewster, as I had often been known to walk to school in mismatched Chuck Taylor hi’s with contrasting socks. Fast forward to my first job, I would use every paycheck to put the next pair of Jay’s on layaway, until my collection was complete. To be honest, I stopped feelin’ most of the releases after the XII’s so I moved my attention to Dunks and Blazers [that is, until they became the new Air Force One]. Having over twenty years vested in the kick game I can say that my love for sneakers has always been rooted in the artistic design, and constant evolution of style. Having owned over 93 pairs in my adult life, I’m no hypebeast, don’t believe in Deadstock collecting and every pair of shoes in my closet has been worn. Check for me and quite a few other Sneaker loving divas in the new issue of Sneaker Freaker as well as the upcoming project, Girls Got Kicks.

BTW- I have yet to acquire my all time favorite kicks, the Tweed SB hi’s. If you know anyone that has them in a 6…I need them joints!

OneFlyShorty has been collecting kicks for about 7 yrs. She started collecting because she always felt as if sneakers were much more than shoes; they are individual pieces of art. OneFlyShorty is also drawn to the idea of having a completely distinct pair of sneakers and knowing how rare they are. Two of her favorite Jordans are the Laney XIVs [which she finally found in her size after nearly 10 years] and the BORDEAUX VII. Chicks in Kicks – RealizeDOP.

RealizeDOP was first introduced to the whole sneaker craze by a good friend in college who was a Jordan collector. While appreciative of all kicks, she found herself to be a Dunk collector at heart. Above the collecting, RealizeDOP wanted to bridge the gap between love and culture by bringing the whole sneaker collecting world together. Together with two friends, she put together the first ever “North Carolina Sneaker Summit” to bring together collectors from all around the Carolinas and Virginias. For a first annual event, it was a huge success that brought together over 800 collectors, spectators and artists from the local community.

Nowadays, outside of collecting, she spends her time as a freelance fashion/costume designer and is a part of street wear brand FYSH CLOTHING CO. Something random, I love to cook and bake.
