The Puma G. Vilas was the leather cousin of the Puma California. It featured a thick outsole which added etra cushioning for tennis players. The front toe box was prefforated which allowed the foot to breathe, and holes were even put into the side panels, yet did not take away support from the upper. Besides being a tennis shoe, the G. Vilas became popular among the soccer casual scene.
