The Nike Air Flow was released as part of the Nike Air International Fall ’89 collection, which was marked by bright, versatile colors. It was a lightweight running shoe and boasted an encapsulated heel Air Sole Unit in the midsole for maximum cushioning. The upper was made of nylon, Lycra and synthetic suede, which provided a sock-like fit. This made it ideal for summer.

Notes: The Air Flow was very much like the Air Current (Launched in 1990) – a predecessor to the Air Huarache. Both shoes played important roles in the natural progression to Air Huarache Technology.
