The Nike Dunk Low Premium SB Eire Edition - net / deep orange was designed by Liam Sean Martin, and features a net / deep orange colorway. Nike SB released these Nike Dunk SB to honor the memories of these brave men and women of Ireland who fought against British rule in Ireland during the early 20th century, and tried to seize Dublin. They knew their chances were extremely slim and fought anyway. Nike SB released these in their memory, and the lettering Éire (pronounced air-rah) which is embroidered on the heal tab, is the Irish or Gaelic word for Ireland. They are designed using Linen overlays, a textile which is made from a vegetable fiber obtained from the inside of the woody stalk of the flax plant commonly produced in Ireland. The colors are inspired by the Irish flag and the logo on the heel of the shoe is an Irish Harp logo, which as part of Ireland’s heraldic arms is also found on Irish coins and currency, uniforms, and official documents.
