Rumor has it the there was once a team called the Nike Pro Club. They were like Brat Pack in Vegas. The members included Spencer Haywood, Phil Chenier, Alvin Adams, Austin Carr, Charlie Scott, John Drew, Paul Silas, and Rudy Tomjanovich. They had special members only rings, and strolled around playing golf, and drinking cocktails. Oh yeah, they also had little “thing” they did on side, testing sneakers for some company named Nike. Many referred to them as the Mob, while Nike labeled them a “focus group”. They would try out models and report back on what they thought was good and what they thought should go. After Nike became large, and the group was dispersed, a Nike designer realized theat the Pro Club had no legacy. This shoe is dedicated to them. It is a remembrance. It is a mid- ankle leveled shoe, with perforated side panels and perforated holes along the front of the toe box, all used to help the wearer’s foot from overheating. The Nike Delta Force AC ¾ was a “thank you” to a miniature yet what you can call “original team of dreams”.
