The Nike Air Max Sensation crept onto the scene. Under the radar, out of nowhere, on the low end of the DL. Even Nike didn’t expect too much from these kicks. They were released the same year as monster sellers, such as the Air Jordan X, reissues of the AJ I and AJ II’s, along with the Air Max CB34, the Air Penny, the original Air Max Tempo, and the Air Flight One. But through the darkness and clouds, the Sensation revealed itself as one that could hold its own. It proved that it could go all 12 rounds with the heavyweights. And although it never got the chance to live out its lifespan (legal problems with the player it was signatured to and designed for), it was ultimately reissued.
