nc4.jpgNewcastle Nike SB Dunk Low - May 2008

It has been confirmed that the Newcastle Nike SB Dunk Low will be among the Nike SB June Releases. Originally seen back in November: Nike SB NewCastle Dunk Low alongside the Nike Dunk High Pro SB - Ferris Bueller, the Newcastle Nike SB Dunk Low takes inspiration from the one and only Newcastle Brown Ale. These Nike Dunk SB feature a combination of leather and suede along with mismatching midsoles to resemble the Pale Ale color and NewCastle logo.

Newcastle is thought to be the first place in Britain to brew beer. Legends aside, it is known that Newcastle’s first commercial brewery, John Barras & Company of Gateshead, was established here in 1770. Then, in 1890, after the Gateshead Brewery was bought by the North Eastern Railway Company, John Barras & Company purchased the Tyne Brewery and linked up with several small breweries in North Shields, Gateshead and Sunderland to form The Newcastle Breweries Ltd. via NewCastle
