Brooklyn stand up! Spike Lee is being honored by Nike once again with a Nike Blazer designed in his honor. The shoes come together at the tongue which feature an image of Spike Lee’s iconic glasses on the front and the name of his hometown – Brooklyn – on the back of the tongue tag. The white, red, black, and green colorway is inspired by the film maker’s ground breaking movie Do The Right Thing, and the 40 Acres and a Mule productions logo. Look for these to drop sometime this month.

The Nike Blazer is still rolling off of its summer momentum and looks to excite us for the winter. Here we can see an extension of the Blazer High Vintage collection, which look much more understated than the green, red, and blue pairs. Slated to release on November 2, 2009 is this pair of Nike Blazer Mid Supreme Tier 0. They feature a brown premium leather upper along with a perforated Nike swoosh, as well as an embossed Nike tongue tag. Other features include white inner lining, as well as classic white sole. Finishing off the shoes are a nice pair of brown shoe laces, making this pair of Blazers perfect for the Fall weather. The Nike Blazer Mid ND Pack continues to roll along with a third colorway and its looks just as awesome as the previous two. Hand stitched leather accents, perforated swooshes, rugged suede uppers and leathear accents all come together to create a very dope total package. Chances are these won’t be at many retailers outside of 21 Mercer St but we hear they have also been spotted at Bows & Arrows.

Spotted yet another Nike Blazer color way and its as nice as can be. This team red suede and yellow leather swooshed model looks to be a Redskins fan’s dream and the white vulc sole rounds it out nicely. This time the Nike Blazer High gets the carbon fiber treatment, with gray accents. Check out this sample, another rare find, which uses the Blazer mid as a base and utilizing interesting and light weight materials. The upper takes on a patent black look but in the sun light can appear to be multi faceted. The inner features quilted foam for comfort.

The newest Blazer Mid ND to be released by Nike is a rarity, and something brand new to the Blazer aesthetic. First off, check out the upper which is a mix of suede and leather with a perforated Swoosh. The exposed stitching is one of my all time favorite parts of this shoe, almost reminiscent of the Nightmare Before Xmas. The midsole remains consistent with a classic Blazer look. Available now in two colorways; black and bone.

The Nike Blazer Mid 09 ND will probably just be called a ‘Blazer’ by most of us consumers out there but regardless to what we decide to call this one one thing can can probably settle on is dope. With a brown suede upper and tonal leather swoosh the only other color elements aside from the black laces are a black leather heel tab and metal ankle lace eyelets. The shoe is wrapped up nicely with a brown vulc outsole making the Blazer Mid 09 ND a great shoe regardless of how long the name is. Via Dunk
