Earlier today we got to see the Nike Basketball 2012 NBA All Star Game line up and what it had to offer. In that bundle was one Nike Lebron 9 that certainly perked a few brows with its orange upper and glow in the dark outsole. Here is a better look at the shoe and its proving to be something special just as we thought. The shoe features a galaxy print on the lining and outsole, as well as cool touches on the lace plate and tongue tag. These are set to hit stores on February 24th and will be in limited supply.

In just under a month you can get your hands on the Ken Griffey Jr flavored Nike Lebron 9‘s and in case you haven’t seen them here is another look. The Nike Lebron 9 Swingman is just what the doctor ordered if you love blends of blue and feature a hybridized Swingman / Dunkman logo on the heel tab. These are not only fresh but they are flat out fun. Look for them at select Nike retailers on March 2nd.

King James give us a peek at the Nike LeBron 9 “Bright Mango”

Nike and LeBron James continue to impress us all with the technical and physical styling of the Nike LeBron 9. On a recent spurt of generosity, @KingJames himself tweeted to show the world a little love and give us a quick look at the Nike LeBron 9 “Bright Mango”. As the name suggest, the model is highlighted with bright mango, leaving grey and black to fend for themselves on the rest of the upper. If you happen to be down with the King, you can grab a pair of these Miami influenced basketball sneakers on March 2.

Nike Black History Month Collection Officially Unveiled

To celebrate the 36th anniversary of Black History Month, Nike has put together a special collection of some of their most popular silhouettes. Spanning the Nike Basketball and Nike Sportswear categories, the line-up includes the Nike Zoom KD IV, Nike Kobe VII System Supreme, LeBron 9, Nike Air Force 1, Nike Air Max 1, Nike Blazer and 2012 Nike Huarache Free. Each model features a signature graphic print and distinct colors developed by Nike designers that take inspiration from International African culture. In addition to the shoes, Nike has also put together a few apparel pieces; the Nike Destroyer jacket, T-shirt and snapback hat. The Nike Black History Month Collection will be available at select retailers this month and at NikeStore.com beginning February 11.

Release Reminder: Nike LeBron 9 “Cool Grey”

Though the Nike Zoom KD 4 has made a strong case for the top colorways this year, the Nike LeBron 9 still holds the title. The next colorway to hit the streets in this performance sneaker is the “Cool Grey”. Cool grey provides the main color for the majority of the upper, with only touches of white and metallic silver to draw our eye away. Packed with both a Nike Air Max unit and Zoom Air, the sneaker is definitely not just a pretty face.

Nike LeBron 9 BHM (New Images)

It was just last night when images of the Nike LeBron 9 BHM hit the web, and no less than 24 hours later, new images have already surfaced. Keeping things mostly grey, the LeBron James signature model features a unique African-diaspora inspired pattern on the ankle lining as well as parts of the outsole. Nike LeBron 9 – Black History Month

We just finished previewing the Nike Zoom Kobe 7 – Black History Month, and releasing as part of the same Black History Collection is this pair of Nike LeBron 9.

This version of LeBron James‘ signature shoe sports a predominantly grey colorway, along with a unique pattern on the ankle lining, tongue liner and midfoot harness.

Adding some contrast to the look is a white nice swoosh, while Black History Month branding is seen on the tongue. Look for these to drop at accounts beginning February 11, 2012, and stay tuned in for more images.

If you happen to live within the EU, you are going to get access to one of the hottest LeBron 9 colorways around, a month or so before your Yankee counter parts. Announced via the NikeStoreEurope twitter, the model, which has been dubbed, “Griffey”, features green abyss and white upper that is accented with obsidian and light blue heather. So if you happen to have a connect over the pond, or if you live in the EU, you know what to do.

More images of the Nike LeBron 9 “Cool Grey” have just surfaced. This version of LeBron James‘ signature shoe sports a popular cool grey that is accented with metallic silver hints, while touches of white on the Nike swoosh, tongue signature, and sole create a nice contrast.

The heel incorporates a Nike Air Max unit into the sole. This pair of Nike LeBron 9 is scheduled to officially release to Nike accounts on Friday, February 3, 2012.What are your thoughts on these?

Custom Kicks: Nike LeBron 8 “Oreo” by ROM

With sneakerheads popping up everywhere, it is hard to have a shoe that everyone else doesn’t have. YouTube sneakerhead Dubstepslap415 decided he wanted his own Nike LeBron 8 and enlisted the help of expert customizer ROM. Though my taste buds tell me this was inspired by delicious Oreo Cookie, the model was actually inspired by the Air Jordan 6 “Oreo” that released last year and feature a similar black and white upper. Additionally, the custom LeBron 8 features a speckled white on black midsole like the Air Jordan. Unfortunately, these are a 1 of 1, and the closest you will get to a pair is the Air Jordan 6 Oreo. February is set to be a very exciting and expensive month for those that love sneakers. Starting the month off will be the release of one of the more popular silhouettes this year, the Nike LeBron 9. Having been released in quite a few different colorways already, the model set for February is set in a Cool Grey/White-Metallic Silver colorway that has been dubbed the Nike LeBron 9 “Cool Grey”. The model plays to the strengths of the cool grey and keep the upper in basically all grey. Touches of white accent the upper via the Nike Swoosh, logo branding, and heel pull, while metallic silver adds a little shine over the trim. Look for the model to hit select Nike Basketball accounts such as Oneness in early February.

Nike Lebron 9 – Summit Lake Hornets (New Photos)

The Nike LeBron 9 continues to impress with amazing colorway as we inch closer to a release of the annual Summit Lake Hornets version of the sneaker. Coated in a mostly purple upper, the model depends on touches of teal to add just the right amount of contrast across the Nike Swoosh, midsole, and parts of the tongue. Rounding out the design is a white outsole, and a clear Air Max unit on the heel. We are still waiting on an official release date for this LeBron 9, but pair can be found around the web at places such as Sole Awesome.

Even if you are not a fan of the technology behind the Nike LeBron 9, it is hard not to like one of the MANY colorways Nike plans to release this year. One of the colorways that has been getting a lot of attention lately, is the Nike LeBron 9 Griffey. Reminiscent of Griffey’s signature line, the model’s upper is coated with a green abyss that is interrupted only by a white Nike Swoosh. Flourishes of obsidian and light blue heather also appear throughout, but take a back seat to the green. Look for the Dunkman logo bearing LeBron 9 to hit retail in March.

Nike LeBron 9 ‘Swingman’

If he continues to pump out these slick new colorways Lebron James is going to force you to buy a pair of his Nike Lebron 9‘s before the year is out. As if the available versions weren’t enough he introduces his tribute to Ken Griffey Jr in the ‘Swingman’ colorway.

This model features deep turquoise upper that is trimmed in black with red accents. White makes a brief appearance on the outsole and swoosh while a Swingman logo crowns the heel as the finishing touch. These are set to be released at the top of March so stay tuned for release information.

Nike LeBron 9 – Summit Lake Hornets PE – New Images

Lebron James‘ latest is tearing up the internet with colorway after colorway and while we have already seen the Nike Lebron 9 Summer Lake Hornets PE here is another, more extensive look at the sneaker.

It’s a pretty good looking shoe to begin with but this colorway on it is flat out stunning. Its a highly effective blend of turquoise and purple with hits of white falling in line on the outsole and branding. How do you feel that these stack up against the rest of the upcoming models including the Big Bang, Mango or Cool Grey? It’s a pretty tough call that we aren’t willing to make but we’d love to hear your opinion.
