Alongside the Nike Air Penny II (2) Retro’s you can also expect this black/royal blue pair of Nike Air Penny III (3). This pair above is a sample of what you can expect for 2009. As you can see they come in an all black upper colorway with hints of blue on the midsole. They are expected to release somewhere in the Spring of 09 so dont get your hopes up on buying a pair any earlier than a couple of months. Via NT.

Nike Air Penny II (2) Retro - Black / Varsity Red / Maize

Yes folks, this pair of Nike Air Penny II’s are going to be releasing, and fortunately enough it will be within the next couple of months. Don’t forget the Nike Air Penny II (2) Retros because those will be releasing also to accompany this release. Unlike the Penny Hardway color scheme of this Penny II sneaker, this upcoming Black / Varsity Red / Maize colorway was inspired by the Miami Heat thus they are called the “Heat” Penny II. Nike has 2 big sneaker releases planned for 2009. The Nike Air Penny III (3) and the Penny II (2). The Nike Air Penny II features black/varsity red/varsity maize hile the Penny III have a blue/white color scheme. they will retail at $145 and $155 respectively. Nike 1/2 (Half) Cent - Penny Hardaway Hybrid

Some leaked pictures have recently surfaced straight from Nike’s 2009 Spring line-up, which is sure to be an amazing one. This hybrid shoe pays tribute to Penny Hardaway’s signature shoe line. A silhouette has been created from several different models of his, and have been dubbed the Nike 1/2 Cent, which makes a play on his nickname Penny. The most obvious features stem from the popular and adored Nike Air Foamposite One. They are slated to release in March 2009, and will retail for $190. via TSG.

Penny Hardaway has had several signature shoe models, and the Nike Air Penny 3 (III) is one of the most adored. For the fanatics out there, we have some good news, as we have recently found out that Nike plans on re-releasing the shoe sometime during Spring 2009. A highlight of what we just revealed is that Nike plans on releasing them in two, different, original color schemes.

Here we have the sample pictures for the upcoming Nike Air Penny II (2) Retro’s. As you can see they are expected to release in 2 of the original colorways. One pair is of a black/white/blue color while the other is a clean white colorway. You could consider this preview as an eye opener so that you know what to expect on the day of the release. Usually Nike changes some details on the Retro’s as compared to the originals, but these pairs seems to be an exact replicas. They should be on shelves this fall. Check out more pictures ahead. Here we feature the Nike Air Penny 2 - Black / White - Varsity Royal, which is slated to make a comeback in November 2008. They feature a black and white upper, along with an icy blue sole, which is always a plus. The colorway is inspired by the colors of the Orlando Magic, which is Penny Hardaway’s old team. Unlike the originals however, these feature a smaller air sole unit, but are still very similar to the originals. Via nt.

Nike Air Penny II Scheduled to Retro Fall 2008

Here is a dream for all the Penny Hardaway fans out there. I remember balling in these when I was a little kid! Here is a little secret. These long, long, long anticipated retro of the classic Nike Air Penny II has been scheduled to release in the Fall/Winter of 2008. As of now, we can confirm that both the Black/Blue and White/Blue OG colorways are set to release at a retail of $135. We will keep you posted as we receive more information.

Nike Air Foamposite One - Black / Varsity Red

In January the original Penny Foamposites made their return after many years, and late July/early August the all black/anthracite Foamposites dropped. Here is the third colorway to release this year from the famous “Foamposite One” family has made it’s arrival. They come with the black synthetic uppers and varsity red accents. The 1 cent logo is also featured on the heel tab.
The Nike Air Foamposites are now in stores for $200. The black/cactus Foams is next, so be on the lookout for that colorway to drop next.

Upcoming 2008 Nike Basketball Preview

Do you remember any of these original classic Nike basketball shoes? They were worn by Charles Barkley, Penny Hardaway, and Jason Kidd. We have posted info on a few of these before, but today we reveal more 2008 releases. This preview consist of the Flightposite, Air Force Max CB, Zoom Flight 96, and the Zoom Flight 95. The Air Flightposite will return after 9 years of it’s original release. It’s synthetic structure and unique style comes back in OG colors, and Nike might release new colorways. Sir Charles sophomore signature shoe the “Air Force Max CB” will debut in new color schemes, but with the same OG feel. The Zoom Flight 95 aka “Bug Eyes” will hit stores in the highly sought after black, carbon, and white colorway. As for the Zoom Flight 96, they will also take you back down memory lane with their OG skin. Collector’s will have the opportunity to grab a piece of 1993, 1995, 1996, and 1999 sometime next year.
Nike is definitely bringing back the heat, and there’s no telling what else they’ll retro. All the retro’s you’ve been waiting for and searching eBay for is slowly returning.
